Emily and Ford

Emily and Ford met at Texas Tech University in 2012. Emily was a junior and Ford was a senior. Emily’s good friend, Emily Turney, brought her to a KA Fajitas and Ritas party. Joe Deidrichs, a mutual friend of Emily and Ford introduced them.

Soon after meeting, Ford asked Emily to grab a drink with him at Crickets, Ford’s favorite bar in Lubbock. They quickly hit it off and that was the beginning of Emily and Ford!

When Ford graduated in 2013, he accepted a job in multifamily real estate and moved to Fort Worth. Emily and Ford dated long distance for a year until she graduated from Texas Tech in 2014 and moved back to Fort Worth.

After 3 and a half years of dating, Ford started planning a surprise proposal. He proposed outside of his parents house in Dallas, in front of the hydrangeas (one of Emily’s favorite flowers.) Ford had one more surprise for Emily. When she walked inside, they were greeted with close friends and family. It was a very special night and turned out perfectly!
